Buyers Guide on Learning Styles Questionnaire (40-item) - Booklet

First Published - January 2006

Until now the 40-item version of the famous Honey & Mumford Learning Styles Questionnaire has only been available to do online or as a Licence to Print.  Originally developed as part of our online Learning Series it has proved so popular that we have produced a user-friendly workbook containing the questionnaire, score key and a wealth of supporting information - everything a learner needs in 54 pages.

What is the purpose of this booklet?

To help people identify and understand the implications of their learning style preferences and to give practical suggestions designed to help them use, and develop their learning strengths.

Is it for me?

This booklet is an ideal introduction to the subject of learning styles for people who have previously not given much consideration to how they learn. The questionnaire only has 40 questions.

The booklet will show you how to:

  • understand why you learn more easily from some activities than others
  • become more proficient at all four stages of the learning cycle
  • learn more easily from a greater variety of learning opportunities
  • identify the kind of training methods which will be most effective for you
  • increase your effectiveness by strengthening your less preferred styles
  • understand the kind of help and support you can expect
  • become a better all round learner from experience.

In how many ways could I use the booklet?

  • use it as part of a self-development plan
  • use it to help you choose activities to suit your preferred style
  • use the thought starters to help you strengthen your less preferred styles
  • improve your overall effectiveness and performance by working through all the stages in the learning cycle.
  • use the booklet as part of a learning to learn session.
  • use the booklet to design appropriate and effective training programmes.
